NIRON CLIMA COOL PRO pipes and fittings were installed at Tel Hashomer Hospital in Tel Aviv. The PP-RCT used in the NIRON Clima Cool-Pro System i.e., white polypropylene, is admixed with a specific masterbatch loaded with antioxidant agents that guarantee the maintenance of the performance characteristics of the product, even if subjected to the ultraviolet component of the solar radiation for a long period. This material, adequately stabilized by the producer of the raw material and correctly transformed by NUPI, is therefore not subject to photodegradative phenomena. The advantages of a white anti-UV layer include UV resistance, thanks to the particular external white PP-RCT which acts as a photoprotector by inhibiting the UV rays’ degradative action on the underlying polymer, UV reflection with lower temperature difference thanks to the external white protection, as we assist to a lower absorption of the solar radiation and resistance to stray currents, thereby avoiding the risk of perforation of the pipe or fittings caused by stray currents, because polypropylene is a very poor electrical conductor.
